Why work with us?

Having stakeholders participate in the design, implementation or evaluation of a project is often a guarantee for project success because stakeholder participation

  • assures that the project responds to the problem perceptions of all the concerned parties  (and thus does not miss the point);
  • channels broad and relevant knowledge into the construction of the project;
  • allows to produces solutions that respond to the constraints of the stakeholders;
  • facilitates sustainable solutions that are supported by all stakeholders.
However, letting stakeholders participate in a project is no trivial matter. You have to know whom to involve, at what point in time, on what issue, and in what way. You will have to build a culture of openness and this mean a safe space for dialogue that can accommodate and make constructive use of often considerable differences in points of view. You will also have to avoid the pitfalls of participation – for example raising expectations that later cannot be met. You will also have to assure the overall quality of the process by providing qualified facilitation and opening up to the feedback of the participants. These are the competencies that Lisode offers.
