Facilitation training

facilitation means to help a group find satisfactory answers to tasks at hand such as strategic planning, project coordination, team building or joint project evaluation. “Satisfactory” suggests that the needs of the group members are met (as well as those of outside stakeholders such as superiors or clients). In order to reach this goal, the facilitation approach foresees that all group members participate, that contributions are clearly understood by other group members, and that the various needs of group members (and other stakeholders) are integrated into the action proposals.

This 3-day training course focuses on the principles, methods and interventions of group facilitation. At the end of the course the participants will have experienced where they personally stand with regard to group facilitation, will have either confirmed or rejected certain of their own facilitation approaches and will have found new ways to improve and develop their facilitation skills. Because of its experiential nature the course is likewise useful for beginners and more advanced practitioners.
