Our tools

From the start, Lisode has been using innovative participatory tools such as role-playing games, interactive techniques of group facilitation, or participatory modeling. The diverse tools that we use have common characteristics:

  • They encourage creativity and allow the expression of all participants;
  • They help structure debates and formalize ideas;
  • They recognize the value of the different types of knowledge and experience of participants;
  • They encourage consensus building.

When we prepare our interventions, we strive to develop, test and adapt our tools to the context of each intervention and to the objectives of a given project. To ensure maximum efficiency before the intervention we use a community of practice which allows us to test the feasibility and relevance of the methods we offer before applying them on the field.
