Stakeholder analysis

 Stakeholder analysis is an interactive method that allows to rapidly understand power relationships among organizations or individuals in relation to a specific issue such as a project that needs to be undertaken. Such an analysis is often crucial in order to better understand the social and economic context in which a specific decision must be taken. At the same time this methods often permits a first cooperation between different stakeholders and an opening up about individual goals.

Objectives

  • Better understand the standpoint of the different stakeholders regarding the decision that needs to be taken or the project that needs to be put into place;
  • Create trust between stakeholders and project facilitators;
  • Understand the sources and degree of potential conflict;
  • Identify in a more systematic way the stakeholders that need to participate;
  • Create a shared vision on the dynamics that are at work in a given territory or concerning a specific organizational development project.
